Which option fits your family?
StoryClub
You want to read together and buy a story or a few stories at a time.
StoryClub starts with your child’s details, a companion and a little proud moment. A new illustrated adventure gives you something to read together and return to. The sample below shows one way that can feel.
From the published StoryClub sample
A first jump becomes a story to keep
The starting moment is small: a child jumps into the pool from the side for the first time. The sample follows the warm stone under their feet, the rush of bubbles and their rabbit companion waiting at the edge.
Illustration from the sample story. This is an example adventure, not a customer account.
“That was the first time,” Bramble said. Amelie nodded. It had been.
A proud moment doesn’t need a big lesson at the end. Here it becomes an adventure with a quiet ending: a towel, warm sunshine and someone sitting close.
Oscar offers illustrated stories and narration with both coin packs and Premium. Our Story Magic offers narrated stories from your child’s day, an optional adult parent-voice feature and a PDF yearbook. Its subscription terms currently state up to 30 stories a month per paying account.
Wonderbly is a different format: choose a prepared title, personalise the child’s name and character, preview the book and order a printed copy. Check dispatch and delivery dates if it is a gift.
Before you choose
Which personalised story app is best for my child?
Start with how you want to use the story. StoryClub is an option for illustrated reading together; Oscar and Our Story Magic offer narration. Wonderbly fits a printed gift. Read or preview a complete example before choosing.
Do I need a subscription?
StoryClub uses credit packs with no subscription, and Oscar offers coin packs as well as Premium. Our Story Magic uses monthly or annual plans. Wonderbly sells individual printed books.
Can these apps read the story aloud?
Oscar and Our Story Magic advertise audio narration. StoryClub currently provides illustrated digital stories for you to read together; it has no built-in narrator.
Are StoryClub stories made with AI?
Yes. StoryClub uses AI to create its paid personalised stories and illustrations from the details a parent provides. The free illustrated sample lets you see the kind of reading experience before buying.
Can I print a StoryClub story?
In the web reader, Download as PDF opens your browser’s print or save-to-PDF dialog. StoryClub does not sell or deliver printed books; Wonderbly is the printed-book option in this shortlist.
Can I see a StoryClub story before paying?
Yes. The published illustrated sample is free to read without buying credits. You can also try the free story starter if you would like a beginning to tell yourself.
