Is StoryClub an AI bedtime story generator?
Yes. The paid product uses AI to create the story and illustrations from the details a parent provides. It makes a digital story to read together; it is not a human-written commission. Our separate free starter uses prepared prompts and gives you an opening to finish yourselves.
Can I read a story before buying?
Yes. The illustrated sample is free to read, with no purchase needed. It shows the kind of story and artwork StoryClub creates. Paid stories are made individually, so their words and illustrations will differ.
Is it a printed personalised book?
StoryClub creates digital illustrated stories for reading in the app or on the web. It does not sell or deliver printed gift books.
Do I need a subscription?
No. StoryClub uses pay-as-you-go story credits, and credits do not expire. The prices below are the current web credit packs; check the price shown in the app before an in-app purchase.
Can I use it without an iPhone?
Yes. StoryClub is available on iPhone and through its web app. There is no native Android app; you can use the web version in a browser.
Will a bedtime story help my child sleep?
StoryClub is made for sharing stories, including at bedtime. It does not promise better sleep, a particular reading outcome or a therapeutic benefit. Choose a moment and story that you and your child want to spend time with.
